On the afternoon of August 22, 2024, the Ziheng Sales Division of Shuangqiang Company, located in Foshan, Guangdong, welcomed three distinguished guests: Chen Yulan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Admissions and Employment Office of Guangzhou Business College; Sun Hongbo, Deputy Director of the Admissions and Employment Office; and Yang Jiancheng, Organization Committee Member of the First Party Branch and Staff Member of the Admissions and Employment Office. The two sides held in-depth discussions on cooperation in areas such as graduate employment and talent cultivation between the university and the company.

This visit was prompted by three colleagues from the Ziheng Sales Division of Shuangqiang: Lin Simin, Key Account Manager; Ou Xuan, Sales Operations Manager; and Lu Yuxiang, Sales Supervisor. All three graduated from the Marketing major at Guangzhou Business College. After joining Shuangqiang, they felt that it was a company conducive to personal growth and development, highly valuing talent and actively recruiting capable individuals; they also wanted to contribute to the employment of their alma mater. Against this backdrop, Ou Xuan contacted Sun Hongbo, Deputy Director of the Admissions and Employment Office of Guangzhou Business College, and successfully reached an agreement to visit.

Upon entering the office, the first thing that catches the eye is the neatly arranged Shuangqiang products. Shuangqiang's Key Account Manager, Chen Pu, provided a detailed introduction to each product category, narrating Shuangqiang's journey from its first pair of handcrafted chopsticks to its listing on the A-share market. Chen Pu's eloquent explanation led everyone into the world of Shuangqiang, allowing them to experience the charm of its products.

When they reached the disposable category, Director Chen Yulan noticed Sam's Club's disposable bamboo chopsticks and asked, "Is Sam's Club also a partner of yours?" Shuangqiang's Key Account Manager, Lin Simin, who is also the head of Walmart & Sam's Club, came out to explain in detail Sam's Club's disposable bamboo chopsticks and disposable cotton swabs, recounting Sam's Club's strict product selection process and how Shuangqiang created high-quality products, ultimately leading to the partnership.

After the tour, Sales and Operations representative Ou Xuan introduced Shuangqiang. She mentioned that Shuangqiang is an equal, free, and open platform where superiors and subordinates address each other by their first names, fostering unlimited communication. The company encourages employees to communicate and exchange ideas frequently. She also mentioned that bamboo shoots and bamboo are used in five major product lines, making full use of every resource. From bamboo shoot to bamboo ash, Shuangqiang utilizes every aspect of bamboo. This capability stems from Shuangqiang's years of deep cultivation in the bamboo industry, making it one of the few companies capable of integrating all bamboo resources.

Ou Xuan also detailed Shuangqiang's training mechanism, which helps employees continuously improve their professional skills and overall competence through diverse training courses and practical opportunities. The company prioritizes people and focuses on employee growth and development.

Lu Yuxiang, who recently graduated and joined Shuangqiang, shared his experience. He expressed his gratitude to his alma mater for four years of nurturing, which laid a solid foundation for his entry into the workforce. He also thanked Shuangqiang for providing a platform to rapidly enhance his professional abilities. Yuxiang mentioned the excellent work atmosphere within the company, with smooth communication and collaboration among colleagues, making his work very enjoyable and fulfilling.

In closing, Yuxiang stated that Shuangqiang can provide more employment opportunities and guidance for graduates of his alma mater, helping them make steady progress at the starting point of their careers. Simultaneously, the university can provide companies with talent recruitment and resource matching services, assisting them in achieving higher and faster development. She also offered three suggestions for further improving the work:

Both the school and the company should use Party building to guide the high-quality development of school-enterprise cooperation, industry-university-research collaboration, recruitment internships, and employment-oriented education, forming a positive situation of collaborative education.

Second, emphasize the construction of "Party building + skills." Strengthen the leadership of Party building, promote enterprise mentors to enter the campus, classrooms, and communities to explain technical experience to students and provide guidance for their career planning.

Thirdly, regarding the "Party building + service" approach, the university should maintain multi-channel contact with employers, fully utilize alumni and corporate resources, and conduct a series of recruitment activities such as information sessions and job fairs; actively carry out special initiatives to visit enterprises and expand job opportunities, and build high-quality employment bases; utilize the Ministry of Education's "24365" employment platform, cloud employment platform, university-level "employment information network," "WeChat service account," and "employment work groups" and other employment service platforms to provide employment information recommendation services, meet the job-seeking service needs of graduates, and provide them with more and higher-quality employment opportunities.

During the exchange meeting, both sides discussed and communicated on the direction of cooperation in the construction of employment and entrepreneurship bases. They will cooperate to promote industry-university-research collaborative education, actively explore application-oriented and innovative talent training models, help students establish correct and positive employment concepts, provide students with professional enterprise-level career guidance, further expand graduates' employment channels, and enhance their employment competitiveness and job-seeking success rate.
